Famicom Disk System was external device for 8-bit NES released in 1986 and discontinued in 2003. It used special kind of two sided floppy disks (112 kb). It also has advantaged sound chip which uses primitive wavetable synthesis and FM synthesis. Some games used save game system instead of passwords. The device was never sold in western countries.
The Game "Yume K?j?: Doki Doki Panic" was originally released only in disk format but was later changed to "Super Mario Bros 2" for Western markets
