i love SID actually the most, but AY sounds currently better . happens

flag drunkeneye
18 July 2024 14:06

i did not grew up with amiga, so i am not very mod-affine, although later on PC there were many mods.

flag LimeProselyte
18 July 2024 14:05

although I have a special place in my heart for Amiga MODs, I enjoy all retro/chiptune music

flag LimeProselyte
18 July 2024 14:04

nah--AY is fine

flag drunkeneye
18 July 2024 14:04

maybe shoud do your amiga run now, else its AY here only and people go somewhere else

flag LimeProselyte
18 July 2024 14:03

I go on Amiga request runs

flag LimeProselyte
18 July 2024 14:03

I do sometimes myself

flag drunkeneye
18 July 2024 14:02

true, its request system, but one can hijack that (as i did, muahahahaha)

flag drunkeneye
18 July 2024 14:02

its all ok to be critic, but first think if that makes sense. if yes, then criticize, no problem, even say "this work is stupid"

flag LimeProselyte
18 July 2024 14:00

play what you like--that's why the request system is here

flag LimeProselyte
18 July 2024 14:00

ehh, everyone's a critic

sorry, for queueing so many AY songs, but these are so brilliant

flag drunkeneye
17 July 2024 17:06

just let me finish my stupid work :/

flag drunkeneye
17 July 2024 17:05

but wow, i will look at that track from gyruss

flag drunkeneye
17 July 2024 17:05

i love AY, even more than pokey and SID, it seems

flag drunkeneye
17 July 2024 17:05

i just wanted to say that i did not like that ONE particular song

flag tyco
17 July 2024 17:05

All five 8910s ran from the same clock source, so they would be sure to stay in lockstep and so lots of phasing effects could be used. It all sounds really neat.

flag drunkeneye
17 July 2024 17:04

flag tyco
17 July 2024 17:04

audio was an entire daughterboard with a Z80 CPU controlling five(!) AY8910s for a total of 15 sound channels. plus programmable analog filters on each channel, and the Z80 also drove a DAC in software for a 16th channel for digitized drums

flag tyco
17 July 2024 17:02

Though, if you want to hear some excellent use of AY, go look up the soundtrack for the arcade version of Gyruss. Konami went a bit mad with the audio hardware on that game.

flag tyco
17 July 2024 17:01

Everyone knows what bad AY songs sound like - just poke the doorbell on anyone's house

flag tyco
17 July 2024 17:01

I know what bad AY songs sound like, and these ain't that.

flag drunkeneye
17 July 2024 16:57

and this song is really bad :/

flag drunkeneye
17 July 2024 16:56

but dont worry, there was ZX the whole morning, maybe this is why noone is online

flag drunkeneye
17 July 2024 16:56

OMG!!!

flag tyco
17 July 2024 16:55

16 July 2024 10:14

Nice! I will send you a PM here when the first version will be ready!

flag drunkeneye
16 July 2024 10:12

wow, crazy, really incredible, am really exicted to see the final results. never programmed for the ZX and would like to do something small, so this could be very helpful for me

flag DennyVenice
16 July 2024 10:05

But I have also written an IDE in C++ with a Basic compiler, now the Basic is compiled in a pseudocode and then postprocessed as JavaScript code, but it can be possible to postprocess in another language, but I can work on it only on weekends, a few hours

flag DennyVenice
16 July 2024 10:03

And it will be downloaded from the browser

flag DennyVenice
16 July 2024 10:03

not, it will compile an HTML file with inside JavaScript code

flag drunkeneye
16 July 2024 10:02

wow, sounds incredible. so in the end, you can export binaries for the ZX?
