hi guys.
it's kinda annoying to have to add a musician - then wait for a few hours until it is approved - then upload a song. - Especially when you dont know shit about the author in the first place, or the guy only has 1 or 2 songs anyway, example: System Shock 1 remix by Greg Le Piccolo and Tim Ries? wtf should I add here? both? the first guy or the 2nd? I Can't we just upload music like this to a generic name like "WHATEVER" ? and mention the composer in the comments only? cheers. |

Hi,
The music should not be uploaded to a generic location, as that defies the purpose of the site. If the song has multiple artists, they should be uploaded to one of them first (doesn't matter which one) and then you can change it and add the 2nd one after upload, by clicking the Edit Info at the bottom of the song page. You can add/change several other things here too. Even if the guy only has 1 or 2 songs, his information should still be correct, and correctly credited to him. I would rather have a complete and informative entry, than a bunch of crappy entries with no info. After adding your artists, you can say something in the oneliner. One if us is usually lurking that can approve them a bit quicker then just waiting for them to be approved. |
